Our Story
Dr. Duh, the principal consultant, is a seasoned communications expert with a Ph.D. in Media and Communication Studies and over 20 years of professional experience. He specializes in technical writing, copy editing, communications and public relations strategies, media relations and outreach, media and communication training, and public speaking engagements.

After gaining employment as an Assistant Professor of Communications at Mississippi Valley State University, Dr. Duh recognized his desire for a new direction. He envisioned leveraging his expertise in communications, public relations, and university teaching to foster business and societal transformation. As a result, he created DEZ Communications Services. With a deep understanding of communication and public relations fundamentals, Dr. Duh integrates core principles and theories of business communication and applies appropriate research to help clients thrive and compete more effectively.

Before establishing DEZ Communications, Dr. Duh served in senior communications roles at the University of Maryland, Hewlett-Packard (HP) Solutions, and the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. He also worked as a research technical writer and editor for Chenega Health Services, a U.S. federal contractor that was contracted by the Defense Health Agency of the Department of Defense.

In addition, Dr. Duh served as an editorial consultant for various United Nations agencies, including UN Women Albania, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Switzerland, and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Tajikistan. He has counseled some executives from Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and non-governmental organizations on effective marketing and communication strategies and campaigns.

Dr. Duh is a researcher, scholar, and author of books on economics and development issues. He has published several scholarly articles and delivered numerous public lectures and presentations on media and communication. He uses research-driven results to develop effective communication strategies that enable clients to establish, manage, and maintain their corporate reputation.

As a journalist with a compelling storytelling style, he understands the importance of crafting a well-pitched and engaging message, and he strives to secure media coverage for his clients.

Dr. Duh holds a Ph.D. in Media and Communication Studies from Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom, Postgraduate Certificates in Mass Communication Research Methods and Best Practices, a Master's Degree in Global Journalism, and a Diploma in Communication and Public Relations from the University of Cambridge. He is available to assist you with technical writing, copy editing, strategic communication planning, media and communication training, and speaking engagements on a consultancy basis, whether on short-term, long-term, or retainer arrangements.
